One Unwritten Page

Words and Music by John Lindsay

I’ve come to listen Lord to hear your word
Believing it’s the true and only way.
And all the other words that I’ve allowed to cloud my judgment,
Stumbling blocks I’ve let get in my way.

Now I commit to you my life, my will, my soul
So freely, from age to age,
And humbly ask you wash away the stains.
Prepare me Lord as one unwritten page.

Let my tongue speak Your word.
Let my face reflect Your glory.
Let my heart seek Your truth.
Let my life tell Your story.

This is one unwritten page, waiting for the Author
To pen the lines of truth upon my heart.
This is one unwritten page, hoping in a loving father.
He alone can fashion a work of art.

And when all God’s work is done,
And the pages come together
To be bound side by side
In the book of life forever. Forever.

Read on. Read on. Read on. Read on.

While our tongues speak His word,
And our smiles reflect His glory,
Every heart seeks His truth
As our lives tell His story.

Come as one unwritten page. Wait upon the author
To pen the lines of truth upon your heart.
